Career Technical Education (CTE)
Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students with the technical skills, knowledge, and training needed to be successful in future careers. Millions of high school students are enrolled in career technical courses nationwide as the need for skilled labor continues to grow. CTE prepares learners for the world of work by introducing them to workplace competencies, and makes academic content accessible to students by providing it in a hands-on context.
YouthBuild currently offers three CTE tracks for student's, Construction, Health Care, Customer Service, and Information Technology (IT) each providing students the opportunity to earn an industry recognized credential.

YouthBuild's Construction track offers student's the opportunity to earn a NCCER certification and
Pre-Apprenticeship experience. |
YouthBuild's Healthcare track offers student's the opportunity to earn their Certified Patient Care Technician and Phlebotomy Technician certifications.

YouthBuild's Retail, Business, and Customer Service track offers student's the opportunity to fine tune their soft skills and receive certification through the RISE certification.

YouthBuild's Information Technology track offers student's the opportunity to earn certifcations in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.

Career Technical Education has loads of benefits! These programs not only prepare student's with job skills and certification, CTE offers FLEX credits, alternative graduation pathways, and stipends.
FLEX CreditsCareer Technical Education offers more than just certification. Students have the opportunity to earn academic credits toward graduation course requirements.
