New Graduation Requirements12/30/2014 Ohio House Bill 487 establishes new requirements for graduation beginning with the class of 2018, or this year's 9th graders. Students in 10th grade or those repeating 9th grade will continue to fall under the old graduation requirements. Mainly, those students will continue to take the Ohio Graduation Tests. Students entering 9th grade in 2014-15 will be required to take end-of-course exams in English I and II, algebra I, geometry, integrated math I and II, physical science, American history and American government. Each test is scored 1-5 and students must earn a combined 18 points on those exams to qualify for graduation.
